The Magnificent Monarch Migration

Have been fascinated by the beauty of the butterfly from my childhood. Running around the ever in-flight butterflies trying to catch a glimpse of beauty they hold.

I was amazed by the concept that monarch migration takes five generations from the origin to the destination and it stills baffles scientists about how the awareness/ details of journey are communicated between multiple lifecycle stages of the butterfly.

Had seen documentaries about how beautiful certain spots of Mexico can be with the blanket of migratory butterflies covering the trees.

Once I reached US started looking at the migration path and was disappointed as initial research seemed to showcase that migrations can be viewed best in Mexico and then Texas. Further investigation proved otherwise .

Being in south Bay Area, looking for closest spots to view butterfly, found about three of them.
